I started this site as a means of posting for users of the internet a book that I was writing. I wanted the feedback of others, a sharing of like experiences from others who, like me, have had to face the harsh truths about one's own faith. Shadows of the Mind has changed since I first put it up on the web. I've changed since I started on it a year ago (August 1999). My focus has changed, too. Rather than providing a site where I'm venting all the frustration and the anger that rose up within me because of my own failing as one who had dedicated himself to God, I would much rather provide the information that helped me through what amounted to a "crisis of faith." I don't claim to have the answers. I make no attempt to try to sway others. I do however try to make others informed regarding all the relevant facts. The truth of the matter is this: aside from the book (which may or may not ever reach completion since it grows and matures with me), this site makes every effort to provide the guest with only the information I feel pertinent towards determining the focus of our faith. Those who have come here hoping to find derision towards Jehovah's Witnesses, apostate reasoning (read anti-WTBTS) will before long depart from here, seeking such things elsewhere.
MissionTo provide interested ones with the information they need to make an informed choice about what they will believe when it comes to Jehovah God and any and all religious groups that proclaim to be His earthly organization.
